LOCATION

Puerto Escondido is mostly located in the municipality of San Pedro Mixtepec in the western portion of Oaxaca’s coast also known as the Emerald Coast on the Pacific Ocean. Its bay is adjoined by a number of rocky cliffs, which vary in height between 15 and 30 metres. The town center is located on the north side of the bay.

HOW TO GET HERE

Puerto Escondido is located in the state of Oaxaca,
south of Mexico city and west of Chiapas state.

The international airport is about 4.5 km from the complex. You will also find multiple bus stations. Lastly, you can drive to Puerto Escondido.

By Plane

All major airlines can fly you into Mexico City International airport. From MEX, you can take a local flight on Aeromar, VivaAerobus, Volaris or AeroMexico to PXM. The flight from Mexico city is about 1.5 hours. You can ride a cab from the airport to Eglantina.

By Car

Now completed, the new 3-lane superhighway (supercarretera) from Oaxaca to Ventanillas, is about 13 km east of Puerto Escondido, where it meets the old coastal Highway 200. The travel time is approximate 3 hours.

By Bus

Wether you are leaving from Oaxaca
(about 3 hours), Mexico city (11 hours), or any other local destination, you can take the SUR, OCC or ADO comfortable buses to the downtown terminal.
